YSU International Students Cook Up Fresh Fun!

What a day it was at the Climate Change Action Center in Youngstown, OH! Two awesome international students from YSU joined for a hands-on adventure, from the garden straight to the dinner table.

One of the goals of #TeamWoods is simple: grow healthy food, get people gardening, and show that making a good, simple meal isn't hard. Today, the YSU friends helped harvest fresh Russian kale and beet greens right from the gardens. They loved seeing where their food comes from!

Then, the group headed inside. Under the guidance of Brother Nature, they turned their fresh greens into a tasty stir-fry. It was a great way to learn how easy it is to cook something delicious and healthy using fresh ingredients. The smell was amazing, and the taste test? Pure joy!

This day showed exactly what #TeamWoods is about. It's about connecting with nature, eating well, and building community. You don't need fancy stuff to make a great meal – just a few fresh ingredients and a willingness to try.

Big shout out to Common Wealth, Inc. for their continued support in the gardens and with the use of The Climate Change Action Center where this video was filmed
