Meet Grace, of The Blue Butterfly

On Saturday May 3rd, we Grace of the The Blue Butterfly nonprofit stopped by for an interview and some gardening activities.

The Blue Butterfly is an organization that provides support and resources for women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer, and who are also going through treatment.

Grace decided to start her nonprofit group after losing her sister to breast cancer; seeing her sister unable to work, unable to pay her bills, and unable to keep her own home compelled her to do something to help other women.

Recently Grace met Kat Jackson, a 27 year old breast cancer survivor; they scheduled a meet up at The Climate Change Action Center in order to get to know one another, and to also figure out ways in which they can work together to help raise funds for the cause.

The meeting was very productive; Kat and Grace shared their experiences while planting sunflower seeds. Grace's kids got involved with the process too!

They're such great kids! They had a lot of fun playing with the puppets, planting seeds, making Youtube videos, eating popcorn, and more!
