Meet Amethyst, Owner of Soul Flower Florals

Soul Flower is a micro-urban flower farm in Blacklick, Ohio, born from Amethyst’s passion for growing. She’s cultivated over 100 flower varieties in just 500 sq. ft., starting most from seed in her basement.

Originally in fashion and production, Amethyst discovered gardening during the COVID lockdown. After a failed attempt with store-bought flowers, she moved into a home with raised beds, watched Growing Floret, and planted her first seeds—instantly hooked.

Her setup grew from a single shelf to a full “grow room.” Through her Instagram, @soulflowerflorals, she shares her journey and connects with fellow flower lovers.

Seeing others light up over her blooms confirmed her path. She launched Soul Flower—named because flowers make her soul feel happy and whole.
